Federation of Credit Management (FCM) endorsed courses

Credit Management

Formative Assignments, to build your knowledge, as well as a Summative Assignment, to test your knowledge gained, are built into the FCM endorsed eLearning courses. You need an hour or two a day and in 60 to 90 days you can complete a course.  The courses are "brand new" and in line with "today's" thought processes. Definitely NOT to be confused with the traditional credit management material available in the market.

  • Principals of Credit Management
On completion delegates will:

Understand the role of credit management within the business environment.
Understand the organisational requirements of credit management functions.
Understand the impact of legislation on the credit function.
Understand how to assess and control risk.
Understand the different documents and systems used for trade, export and consumer credit.
Understand collection and recovery methods.

  • Consumer Credit Management
On completion delegates will:

Understand the role and effect of consumer credit within the business environment.
Understand the organisational requirements of credit management functions.
Understand the marketing and sale of a range of consumer credit products.
Understand how to assess and control risk.
Understand different documents and systems used for consumer credit.
Understand collection and recovery methods.

  • Trade Credit Management
On completion delegates will:

Understand the principles of trade and political risk insurance and how it operates.
Understand the legal principles of the relationships arising from contracts and agency.
Understand how the insurance market meets Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulation.
Understand fundamental accounting processes in relation trade credit insurance.
Understand the main terms and methods of payment in domestic and export trade.
Understand the fundamentals of accounts analysis in relation to the setting of credit limits.

  • Export Credit Management
On completion delegates will:

Understand the role and effect of credit management within the global business environment.
Understand the organisational requirements of credit management functions.
Understand the impact of legislation and country culture on the credit function.
Understand how to assess and control risk.
Understand different documents and systems used for export credit.
Understand collection and recovery methods for export debt.

  • Principals of Credit Management - R 3,750
  • Consumer Credit Management - R 4,250
  • Trade Credit Management - R 4,250
  • Export Credit Management - R 4,250

Duration

All 4 course's duration are normally 45 to 60 days each.

Entry Requirements
Principals of Credit Management is a
pre-requisite for Consumer, Trade and Export Credit Management.

Outcome
The skills acquisition will be monitored by means of formative assignments during the course and a final summative assignment at the end. A certificate for successful completion will be issued on-line after completion of each course. All courses are inclusive of 3 months User Fees on the CR eLearning platform but exclusive of VAT.
