eLearning on-Line Courses

The following eLearning on-line courses are available and should take you no more than 10 - 20 days, spending an hour a day, to complete a course. The courses have built in Formative Assignments and a Summative Assignment at the end. A certificate of successful completion, endorsed by the Federation of Credit Management SA will be issued on-line should the course be completed with a score of 70% or more.

CREDIT MANAGEMENT

Principals of Credit Management - R 2,750
On completion delegates will understand the concept of credit, the role players, creditworthiness, credit cycles, credit policy, PESTLE in relation to credit, legislation applicable to credit, and the pricing of credit.

Consumer Credit Management - R 3,250
On completion delegates will understand the role and effect of consumer credit within the business environment, the organisational requirements of credit management functions, the marketing and sale of a range of consumer credit products, how to identify, assess and control credit risk, the different documents and systems used for consumer credit, and debt collection and recovery methods.

Trade Credit Management - R 1,250
On completion delegates will understand the principles of Trade Credit Management and how it operates, the legal principles of the relationships arising from contracts, how insurance meets Trade Credit Management needs, fundamental accounting processes in relation to Trade Credit Management, the main terms and the fundamentals of accounts analysis in relation to the setting of credit limits in Trade Credit Management.

Export Credit Management - R 3,250
On completion delegates will understand the role and effect of credit management within the global business environment, the organisational requirements of credit management functions, the impact of legislation and country culture on the credit function, how to identify, assess and control credit risk, different documents and systems used for export credit, and debt collection and recovery methods for export debt.

Impact of Trade Credit on Cashflow - R 2,750
On completion delegates will understand and develop a basic understanding of how the granting of trade credit impacts on the cashflow of an organisation and provides techniques for those working in a credit practitioner role, as well as those in a more supervisory/managerial role to be able to assess the (potential) impact.

Impact of Trade Credit on Balance Sheets - R 3,250
On completion delegates will understand and develop an understanding of how the granting of trade credit impacts on the Balance Sheet of an organisation and provides techniques for those working in a credit practitioner role, as well as those in a more supervisory/managerial role to be able to assess and manage the (potential) impact.

Entry Requirements
Your academic and/or practical experience will be evaluated to see if you should start with Principals of Credit Management as a pre-requisite for Consumer, Trade and Export Credit Management.

Outcome
The skills acquisition will be monitored by means of formative assignments during the course and a final summative assignment at the end. A certificate for successful completion will be issued on-line after completion of each course.

This course is written for staff of a Credit Provider or Debt Collection Agency in order to understand the process a Debt Counsellor follows and the obligations of the Credit Provider.

Debt Counselling for Debt Counsellors - R 2,250
This course is written to be a practical follow up course for Debt Counsellors. DCASA endorsed this course for Debt Counsellors.
